Social Decommission Checklist

LINKEDIN

If the client does not already have access to their LinkedIn page, provide administrative access.

Note: once administrative access has been revoked, access to the page and administrative settings is unavailable. 

  1. Remove yourself as admin:

    1. Access your Page Super Admin View

    2. Click the Admin tools dropdown at the top of the page and select Manage Admins.

    3. Click the Delete icon to the right of the Admin’s name.

    4. Click the Remove button.

  2. Remove LinkedIn Page from Sprout Social

    1. Account & Settings > Settings > Users and Social Profiles 

    2. Type the name of community into search bar

    1. Use the ellipsis to select the community you wish to remove. 

    2. Remove profile from GlynnDevins 

    3. Save changes

 

FACEBOOK

Facebook Pages can only be accessed through a personal account that belongs to someone with permissions to the Page. If the client does not already have access to their Facebook page, provide administrative access

Note: Once Attane administrative access has been revoked, access to the page and administrative settings is unavailable. 

  1. Initiate Facebook Pixel removal from website domain by contacting Data Strategy via the Owned Social Wrike job.

    1. Include Domain and Facebook Pixel ID number in communication

  2. Remove Domain Ownership

    1. Business Settings > Brand Safety > Search for Domain > Remove

  3. Remove Alight Connection

    1. Business Settings > System Users > Search for Community > Delete

  4. Remove all Attane users as Facebook page admin:

    1. Page Settings > Page Roles 

    2. Select the user you wish to remove > Edit > Remove

    3. You will also need to remove all Attane users from Business Settings under Page

    4. Business Settings > Pages > People > Delete

  5. Deactivate Ad Account

    1. Go to Ad Accounts in Business Settings. You may be asked to re-enter your Facebook password.

    2. Toggle to the Ad Account for the client you are decommissioning

    3. Click Edit.

    4. Change Ad Account Name to (DECOMM: <DATE>)

    5. Click Save.

  6. Remove Business from Business Manager:

    1. Business Settings > Accounts > Pages 

    2. Select the page you wish to remove and select remove. 

  7. If applicable - Remove Facebook Page from Sprout Social

    1. Account & Settings > Settings > Users and Social Profiles 

    2. Type the name of community into search bar

    3. Use the ellipsis to select the community you wish to remove. 

    4. Remove profile from GlynnDevins 

    5. Save changes

 

INSTAGRAM

  1. Submit Instagram login credentials to client service team

  2. Delete LinkTree Account:

    1. My Account > Delete Account

  3. Remove Instagram Page from Sprout Social

    1. Account & Settings > Settings > Users and Social Profiles 

    2. Type the name of community into search bar

    3. Use the ellipsis to select the community you wish to remove. 

    4. Remove profile from GlynnDevins 

    5. Save changes

 

PINTEREST

  1. Deactivate Pinterest Account OR Submit Pinterest login credentials to client service team

    1. To deactivate:

      1. Log into your Pinterest account

      2. Click the directional chevron down icon in the top-right corner to open your menu 

      3. Select Settings

      4. Click Account settings from the left-side navigation

      5. Under Account changes, click Deactivate account

      6. Click Next

      7. Click Deactivate account

      8. Client can always reactivate account if they wish.

    2. If client wishes to maintain, you will need to remove payment information by contacting support.

  2. Remove Pinterest Page from Sprout Social

    1. Account & Settings > Settings > Users and Social Profiles 

    2. Type the name of community into search bar

    3. Use the ellipsis to select the community you wish to remove. 

    4. Remove profile from GlynnDevins 

    5. Save changes

 

PAID SOCIAL

  1. Ensure all future reporting tasks are PRIOR to decommissioning.

  2. Initiate Facebook Pixel removal from the website domain by contacting Data Strategy via the Paid Social Decommission Task in Wrike.

    1. Include Domain and Facebook Pixel ID number in the communication

  3. Remove Domain Ownership

    1. Business Settings > Brand Safety > Search for Domain > Remove

  4. Remove Alight Connection

    1. Business Settings > System Users > Search for Community > Delete

  5. Deactivate Ad Account

    1. Go to Ad Accounts in Business Settings. You may be asked to re-enter your Facebook password.

    2. Toggle to the Ad Account for the client you are decommissioning

    3. Click Edit.
