UTM Parameters for Social Media
Here are the instructions for coding your URLs – You will need to code every client-owned URL. Coding allows us to track referral traffic via social channels within Google Analytics.
Depending on the channel, you will use the following parameters to code your URL – this information is also in confluence.
Channel | Medium | Source | Campaign |
Owned Social | social | facebook/linkedin/instagram | owned_social |
Paid Social | cpc | campaign_name i.e.: prospecting_paid_social |
