In early 2017, Facebook announced as part of their continuing effort to stop the spread of misinformation and false news, they removed the ability for any Page to edit how a link appears on Facebook. In order to combat these strict guidelines on link sharing and preserve the functionality and integrity of the publisher’s content, the GlynnDevins Inbound and Technical Development teams are proactively encouraged to verify owned domains with Facebook. Through this process, link owners will have the ability to edit or overwrite the metadata that previews with link page posts. 1. Check with Paid Media Business Manager to ensure that the domain verification has not yet been done.

  2. If not, go to the client assigned Ad Account and follow these instructions to acquire the TXT code.
