Facebook Pixel Repurposing

In some instances, you will not be able to create a new pixel. Use the following instructions to repurpose one from the Owned Social Repository.

  1. Select a pixel from a deactivated ad account.

  2. In the Wrike Job, tag assigned Data Strategy team member requesting the removal of the pixel from the previous client’s website.

    1. To find the assigned Data Strategy team member, go to the Gantt Chart view of job. Go to the configure “GA/GTM & Set up Goals/Pixel” task and see who is assigned.

Hi team,

To begin setup for [new client name], we need to repurpose an old client’s pixel. For this, I want to use [previous client]'s old pixel. Can you please remove this pixel from the [client]'s website? Here is the information you will need:

Pixel Name

Pixel ID

Previous Client’s Website URL

Please bill time from this to your scheduled task, “Configure GA/GTM & Setup Goals/Pixel” which will be scheduled under [new client’s job number].

 

  1. Once the Data Strategy team has confirmed that the pixel has been removed from the website, you will place the pixel in the Facebook Pixel Repository and update the client name for the pixel and ad account in Business Manager as well as update the decommissioned Social Pixel Repository.

  2. Proceed to follow the typical pixel setup using the new client’s information.
